Luton Town Football Club is an English professional football club founded in 1885 and based in the town of Luton in Bedfordshire, about 30 miles north of London. The club is nicknamed the "Hatters", meaning hatters in English, in reference to the hat-making industry which is very well established in Luton and has been a symbol of the town since the 20th century.
