The Ring of Memory , or Notre-Dame-de-Lorette International Memorial , is a commemorative monument for the centenary of the Great War erected on the site of the national necropolis of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, in the Pas department -de-Calais.
The memorial, designed by the architect Philippe Prost, consists of a ring with a perimeter of 345 meters , weighing 300 tonnes, with a nighttime LED light work entitled La grande nuituse created by the artist Yann Toma, presenting in its interior side 500 golden panels (including 499 engraved) approximately 3 meters high on which the names of the soldiers are inscribed in alphabetical order, without distinction of nationality, rank or religion.
