Our Lady of Loreto
- Description
In Ablain-Saint-Nazaire, more than 42,000 soldiers who died during the First World War on the Artois and French and Belgian Flanders fronts sleep for eternity. In the middle of the necropolis stand the lantern tower and the basilica, watching over all the soldiers. Like a lighthouse, the light projected at the top of the tower is visible from several dozen kilometers around. The two monuments, richly decorated, were designed by the architect Louis-Marie Cordonnier.
