Hamburger SV (officially Hamburger Sport-Verein eV) is a German multi-sport club founded in 1887 and based in the city of Hamburg. The club is best known for its football section, which had never been relegated from the top flight of the German league since its accession at the end of World War I until 2018, making it the only team in the country to play in the Bundesliga since the competition's creation in 1963.
