During the Belle Epoque, the band of Apaches, led by Leca, reigned over the Belleville district, where Marie, nicknamed Golden Helmet because of her blonde hair, also worked. Raymond, one of the members of the group, finds Manda, an old friend who became a carpenter. Manda doesn't like Raymond's company, but he immediately falls in love with Marie.
