Vespa is a brand and line of scooters patented in 1946 by the company Piaggio & Co, SpA
The name Vespa, which means "wasp" in Italian, was chosen by Enrico Piaggio upon discovering the prototype of the model. This two-wheeler subsequently became both a symbol of Italian creativity and a commercial success.
