Because of its internationally renowned “spots” , tourists who are passionate about surfing constantly flock to the archipelago. It is especially in winter that surfers meet on the north coast.
There are eight main islands: Ni'ihau, Kaua'i, O'ahu, Moloka'i, La-na'i, Kaho'olawe, Maui, and the island of Hawai'i. Hawai'i is the largest and most populous of the Hawaiian Islands.
