Watford Football Club is an English association football club founded in 1881 and based in Watford in the north-west suburbs of London. The club was called "Watford Rovers" from 1881 to 1893, then "West Herts" from 1893 to 1898, and finally "Watford FC" since 1898, after absorbing Watford Saint Mary's.
